I felt like a real person for the first time today.
I started reading The Wild Sheep Chase and then I took a shower and got dressed. I went out into town to a sushi restaurant and ordered my sushi two plates at a time. When I was finished eating, I sat there pondering the color of maguro while sipping tea. The guy sitting next to me ordered a giant bottle of beer even before taking off his coat. He dipped his chopsticks into the head of his beer before picking up his sushi. I had been wondering if the reading was chutoro or nakatoro, and he confirmed that it is chutoro. I thanked the chef for the meal, paid (1,224 yen), and left.
And that's the story.

That sounds pretty smooth. Kinda jealous you can just go out and get sushi like that. Only food I can get like that here is fish and chips. Oh, and I guess I should do this for fun.
FIRST!!! LOLZ.
Hey, DJ Reed.
I really feel that "I feel like a real person today" comment. It's easy to be removed when you're in a new place, like you're constantly in a state of observation and you just can't quite cross over to the other side.
Tetsuo the Ironman, D? Really?? There's got to be cooler things to do in Japan than see that thing!

So, you're on Skype, but away. This is upsetting.
Great story though. Glad you're feeling like a real person. Also, you'll need to lend me wild sheep chase when you're done.
Oh my gosh the instructions for leaving a comment for you are in Hungarian and I can't read them oh goodness...
I am sitting in the living room with my grandma who is watching "Medium", in Hungarian and I thought, "Oh Gosh! I have David's blog bookmarked! I need to read it again!"
So I read some.
I am glad that you are having experiences and doing things.
I miss you.
